Happy first day of spring, fellow New Yorkers! The weather is gorgeous, and so are you. And to help keep you staying gorgeous, check out this rundown of the best beauty products for spring.
The first thing you need to have is properly trimmed nails. File away the chipped nail edges and remove all visible cuticles on your nails by simply pushing them out with a washcloth or a wooden cuticle stick.
The first difference is the use of color. While the French nail manicure presents a natural look, our winter blues look is well, blue. An ocean blue is used as the base and a cotton candy blue for the nail tip. Finding the cotton candy color may prove more difficult, but you can always use a baby blue.
Creating simple nail designs on the thumb or ring finger only is gaining popularity. It allows you to add a bit of interest to your nails. One of the easiest things to do is draw some random lines on top of your nail polish. For a base color, choose red like in the photo or whatever your preference. Simple nail designs that use black and white lines look best on red, blue, black and pale backgrounds. You can also choose different colors to draw your lines with, but black and white are popular. Just make sure to use a nail art brush so that your strokes are nice and thin. If you do not have a nail art brush, you can use regular nail polish, but be careful that your lines are not too thick.
Crackle polish is great for parties because everyone can get a different nail look with only a few color combinations. Everyone will love their new, crackled design and will receive many comments on their unique choice of christmas nail designs. Chine Glaze lacquer is fun for children and adults alike, so getting together for a nail night can be fun for everybody.
First you will want to apply the white tips to your nails. The easiest way to apply the white color is to paint a white strip evenly across the top of your nails. Don't worry about it looking messy at this point, you just want to make sure that you have the entire top half covered. Then taking a cotton swab dipped lightly in nail polish remover, you want to rub away the bottom edge of the white area until you have about a centimeter of white polish left at the top of your nails. Be sure to allow the white polish to dry before you attempt to remove it, or you'll end up with a sticky mess on your fingers.
In high school nails were popular. There were two African American nail techs that worked on opposite sides of town (West End and Forestdale). I noticed how great business was for the one in Forestdale and decided I could be just as successful. I've always been the arts and craft type of girl and its great that I get paid to do what I love.
